Gertrude McCann, 63, of Salford, has been charged with driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol concentration of above 80 and driving while impaired. McCann will appear in court to answer the accusations at a later date.

The Ontario Provincial Police said that a 63-year-old woman from Salford, Canada has been charged with drunk driving following a deadly weekend collision involving two vehicles in Norwich Township. One individual perished as a result of the accident.

Sunday evening at 6:35, an SUV and pickup truck crashed near the intersection of Oxford Road 13 and Norwich Road. Emergency personnel came on the scene shortly thereafter. The SUV passenger sustained life-threatening injuries and died after being transported by air ambulance to the hospital.

The London, Ontario police said that they have charged a man in connection with an overnight stabbing investigation on Richmond Street. 70-year-old Dianne Hamulecki of Norwich Township was identified as the SUV’s driver.

After being engaged in an accident with a pickup vehicle, a 63-year-old woman from Salford was charged with two connected charges. Even though the pickup driver was not hurt, the collision occurred due to the woman’s suspected impairment.

OPP is investigating a deadly automobile accident at the intersection of Oxford Road and Norwich Road. The rerouted routes are Quaker Street, Pleasant Valley Road, Zenda Line, and Middletown Line. People are advised to avoid this area as the investigation continues.

The accused is charged with one crime of driving while impaired resulting in death, one count of driving with a blood alcohol concentration of over 80, and one case of risky operation resulting in death, according to the police.
