Box Office Report: “Vikrant Rona” failed to compete with “Bimbisar,” whereas “Sita Ramam” made a significant number of crores. Films from the South continue to have a stronghold on the box office. On Friday, August 5, two new movies were released in theatres all throughout the country. ‘Sita Ramam’ by Mrunal Thakur and Dulquer Salmaan and ‘Bimbisar’ by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram are examples.
Both of these movies are going head to head against one another at the box office. While Mohit Suri’s “Ek Villain Returns” is benefiting from the fact that no other Bollywood picture is being released at the same time, Kicha Sudeep’s “Vikrant Rona” is suffering as a result of the arrival of new movies in theatres. The sole version of ‘Bimbisar’ that has been released is in Telugu by Nandmuri Kalyan Ram, and it has been successful. The movie was produced by Arts and directed by N. T. R. and Vashisht, both of whom served as directors. With this film, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram makes his first appearance in a theatrical release in the past two years. The movie reportedly made a total of 3.32 crore rupees (or dollars) on its first day of release, which was Tuesday. This brings the grand sum of the movie’s earnings up to Rs. 29.37 crores at this point.
In terms of revenue, the pan-India picture “Sita Ramam,” which was directed by Mrunal Thakur and starred Dulquer Salmaan, has been a competitor to “Bimbisar,” which was directed by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. On Tuesday, the picture directed by Hanu Raghavpudi brought in more money than its competitor, “Bimbisar.” The movie has earned an estimated 4.16 crore rupees (or dollars), as of the most recent numbers. As a result of this circumstance, the complete earnings from the movie have now reached a total of Rs 22.36 crore.
Vikrant Rona, the film starring Kicha Sudeep and Jacqueline Fernandez, has been in theatres across India for the past week and is currently in its second week of release. Before the movie was ever released, there was a lot of excitement among the audience; however, this enthusiasm quickly died down after the movie was already out. The film earned a total of 1.49 crores on Tuesday, with the greatest collection coming from the Kannada language at 1.11 crores and only 35 lakhs from the Hindi language. The film has currently amassed a total of Rs 74.25 crore through its ticket sales.
Ek Villain Returns
Arjun Kapoor, Tara Sutaria, Disha Patani, and John Abraham are playing the key characters in the next film, Ek Villain Returns, which was directed by Mohit Suri. The fact that there is not a new Bollywood film being released this week is helping this film a little bit, but it is still not able to earn very much money. The entire amount of money that has been brought in by ‘Ek Villain Returns’ so far is 40.13 crores.
